Urso 100 is a medication containing ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), used to treat liver and biliary tract diseases, including conditions associated with cholestasis and gallstone formation.

Indications for Use:

1. Cholesterol Gallstones:
   • Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones in the gallbladder and common bile duct in patients with functioning gallbladders.
2. Chronic Cholecystitis and Cholangitis:
   • Management of these conditions when associated with cholestasis.
3. Biliary Dyskinesia:
   • For improving bile flow and reducing symptoms associated with biliary tract dysfunction.
4. Prevention of Liver Damage:
   • Used during cytostatic therapy to prevent hepatotoxicity.

Contraindications:

• Acute Inflammatory Conditions:
  • Acute cholecystitis or cholangitis.
• Advanced Liver Disease:
  • Cirrhosis in the decompensation stage.
• Acute Intestinal Disorders:
  • Acute enteritis or colitis.
• Severe Organ Dysfunction:
  • Significant impairment of kidney, liver, or pancreas function.

Side Effects:

1. Gastrointestinal System:
   • Nausea, epigastric pain, constipation.
2. Skin Reactions:
   • Pruritus (itching); rarely, rash.

Special Instructions:

1. Monitoring Liver Function:

2. Post-Stone Dissolution Therapy:
