Taltirelin is a synthetic analogue of thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) used to alleviate symptoms of ataxia in patients with spinocerebellar degeneration.

Indications for Use:

1. Spinocerebellar Degeneration:
   • Symptomatic improvement of ataxia, including:
     • Impaired coordination of movements.
     • Gait instability.
     • Changes in speech.
     • Abnormal eye movements (nystagmus or other ocular motility disorders).

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to taltirelin or any components of the drug.
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use is not recommended due to insufficient safety data.
• Pediatric Use: Safety and efficacy have not been established in children.

Side Effects:

1. Nervous System:
   • Headache, dizziness, drowsiness.
2. Digestive System:
   • Nausea, vomiting, reduced appetite.
3. Allergic Reactions:
   • Skin rash, pruritus (itching).
4. Other:
   • Fatigue, fever.

Special Instructions:

1. Patients with Liver or Kidney Impairment:

 - Dosage: 5 mg of taltirelin in one tablet
 Other dosages (e.g., 1 mg) may be available, but in this case, 5 mg tablets.
