Rocaltrol for Injection contains calcitriol, the active form of vitamin D₃. It is used to manage conditions involving disrupted calcium and phosphorus metabolism.
Indications for Use:
- Hypocalcemia:
- In patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis.
- Secondary Hyperparathyroidism and Metabolic Bone Disorders:
- Associated with chronic renal failure.
Contraindications:
- Hypercalcemia.
- Known hypersensitivity to calcitriol, vitamin D, or its analogs.
- Signs of vitamin D overdose.
Side Effects:

- Hypercalcemia, hyperphosphatemia.
- Gastrointestinal System:
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation.

- Weakness, headache.
