Rifampicin is a semi-synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic primarily used for the treatment of tuberculosis and infections caused by susceptible microorganisms.
Indications for Use:
- Tuberculosis:
- Pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis (as part of combination therapy).
- Leprosy.
- Severe Staphylococcal Infections:
- Includes osteomyelitis and pneumonia, particularly when other antibiotics are ineffective.
- Prevention of Meningococcal Meningitis:

Contraindications:
