Dosage form
Tablets for oral administration. Each tablet contains 300 mg tenofovir and 200 mg emtricitabine.

Active ingredient
Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate and emtricitabine.
Dosage
One tablet (300 mg tenofovir and 200 mg emtricitabine) once daily.
Indications for Use
- Treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults as part of combination antiretroviral therapy.
- Prevention of HIV infection in individuals at high risk of exposure (pre-exposure prophylaxis, PrEP).
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to tenofovir, emtricitabine, or any components of the product.
- Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min) without the possibility of dose adjustment.
- Concurrent use with other medications containing tenofovir or emtricitabine.
Adverse Effects
Common:
- Headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, rash.
Rare:
- Lactic acidosis, hepatomegaly, renal impairment, osteomalacia.
Very rare:
- Pancreatitis, rhabdomyolysis, allergic reactions.
Recommendations for Use
Administration:
- Take orally with sufficient water, regardless of food intake.
Special Instructions:
- HIV testing and renal function assessment are recommended before initiating therapy.
- Regular monitoring of renal function and viral load is mandatory during treatment.
Drug Interactions:
- Avoid concomitant use with nephrotoxic drugs or other antiretroviral agents containing tenofovir or emtricitabine.
