Active ingredient

Estradiol valerate is a synthetic estrogen that is converted into 17ß—estradiol in the body, making up for the lack of endogenous estrogens.

Dosage
  • Recommended dose: 10 mg (1 ml of solution) is administered intramuscularly.
  • Frequency of administration: usually once every 4 weeks, however, the treatment regimen is determined individually by the doctor, depending on the clinical situation and the needs of the patient.
  • Method of administration: the drug is injected deeply intramuscularly, preferably into the gluteal muscle.

Progynon-Depot contains estradiol valerate, a synthetic analogue of the natural female sex hormone estradiol. It is used in hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to compensate for estrogen deficiency in women.
