Active ingredient
Sodium heparin is a direct—acting anticoagulant that prevents the formation of blood clots and promotes their resorption.
Dosage
- For adults: the dosage is selected individually depending on the indications and the clinical situation.
Methods of administration:
- Intravenous: bolus injection or infusion.
- Subcutaneously: usually injected into the abdominal area.
Therapy monitoring: Regular monitoring of blood clotting parameters, such as activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), is recommended.
Nichiphargen Injection contains sodium heparin, a direct-acting anticoagulant used for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic diseases.
Indications for Use:
- Prevention and Treatment of Thromboembolic Diseases:
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
- Pulmonary embolism (PE).
- Thrombophlebitis.
- Prevention of Blood Clotting:
- During hemodialysis.
- In cardiovascular surgery and other vascular procedures.
- In laboratory settings.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to heparin or any components of the drug.
- Active Bleeding or conditions with a high risk of bleeding.
- Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT).
- Severe hepatic or renal failure.
- Uncontrolled arterial hypertension.
- Recent surgical procedures involving the brain, spinal cord, or eyes.
Side Effects:
- Bleeding:
- Of various localizations and severities.
- Thrombocytopenia:
- Decrease in platelet count, including heparin-induced thrombocytopenia.
- Allergic Reactions:
- Skin rash, pruritus (itching), urticaria (hives), and rare anaphylactic reactions.
- Osteoporosis:
- Associated with prolonged use.
- Liver Function:
- Elevated liver enzyme levels.
Special Instructions:
- Therapy Monitoring:
- Regular monitoring of blood coagulation parameters (e.g., activated partial thromboplastin time [aPTT]) and platelet counts is required.
- Drug Interactions:
- Use with caution when combined with other anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), as the risk of bleeding increases.
