Dosage form

 Each sachet contains 100 mg of Sildenafil Citrate.

Dosage

The recommended initial dose is 1 spray (12.5 mg of tadalafil) as needed prior to sexual activity.

Maximum dose: 25 mg (2 sprays) per day. Do not exceed one application within a 24-hour period.


Indications for Use
Maxgun Sublingual Spray is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Erectile Dysfunction (ED): The inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual activity.
  • Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Relief of symptoms such as difficulty urinating, weak urine flow, and urinary urgency (if applicable).
  • Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH): To improve exercise tolerance (off-label use under specialist supervision).

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to tadalafil or any component of the product.
  • Concurrent use with nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate) or guanylate cyclase stimulators due to the risk of severe hypotension.
  • Severe cardiovascular diseases, including recent myocardial infarction or stroke, uncontrolled arrhythmias, or severe heart failure.
  • Severe liver impairment or chronic kidney failure requiring dialysis.
  • Patients for whom sexual activity is inadvisable due to unstable medical conditions, such as severe heart disease.

Adverse Effects

Common side effects:

  • Headache, facial flushing, or nasal congestion.
  • Dizziness or lightheadedness.
  • Indigestion or stomach discomfort.
  • Muscle or back pain.

Rare but serious side effects:

  • Priapism (prolonged and painful erection requiring immediate medical attention).
  • Sudden loss of vision or hearing.
  • Severe hypotension or fainting in predisposed individuals.

Recommendations for Use

Administration:

  • The spray is applied sublingually (under the tongue) for rapid absorption and onset of action.
  • Shake the bottle well before use. Spray under the tongue and hold it without swallowing for 20–30 seconds.
  • Effects typically occur within 15–30 minutes, offering a faster onset compared to tablets.

Precautions:

  • Avoid alcohol consumption or grapefruit products, as they may interfere with tadalafil metabolism.
  • Not intended for use by women, children, or individuals under 18 years of age.
  • Patients with pre-existing cardiovascular, renal, or hepatic conditions should consult a healthcare provider before use.

Monitoring:

  • Monitor for adverse effects or signs of hypersensitivity.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if priapism, severe dizziness, or sudden loss of vision/hearing occurs.
