Active ingredient

Loxoprofen sodium is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug from the group of propionic acid derivatives.

Dosage
  • Adults: 60 mg (1 tablet) 2-3 times a day.
  • Maximum daily dose: 180 mg.
  • Duration of use: no more than 3 days as an antipyretic and no more than 5 days as an analgesic.
  • How to use: take orally, drinking enough water, preferably after meals.



Loxonin

Loxonin is the trade name for a medication containing the active ingredient loxoprofen sodium. It belongs to the class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and is used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and manage fever.

Indications for Use:

  1. Rheumatoid Arthritis.
  2. Osteoarthritis.
  3. Lumbago (low back pain).
  4. Shoulder and Scapular Periarthritis.
  5. Cervical-Shoulder Syndrome.
  6. Toothache, including pain after tooth extraction.
  7. Post-Traumatic and Post-Operative Pain Syndromes.
  8. Acute Upper Respiratory Tract Infections accompanied by pain and fever.

Contraindications:

  • Known hypersensitivity to loxoprofen sodium or other components of the drug.
  • Peptic Ulcer Disease of the stomach or duodenum in the acute phase.
  • Severe hepatic or renal dysfunction.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Pediatric use: not recommended for children under 15 years of age.

Side Effects:

  1. Gastrointestinal:
    • Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation.
    • Exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease.
  2. Nervous System:
    • Headache, dizziness, drowsiness.
  3. Allergic Reactions:
    • Skin rash, pruritus (itching), urticaria (hives).
  4. Cardiovascular System:
    • Elevated blood pressure, tachycardia.
  5. Respiratory System:
    • Bronchospasm, particularly in patients with bronchial asthma.

Special Instructions:

  • Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular conditions, or liver and kidney dysfunction.
  • Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery during treatment due to the risk of dizziness and drowsiness.
  • For prolonged use, regular monitoring of liver function, kidney function, and a complete blood count is recommended.
