LOXONIN TAPE 100 mg is a transdermal patch containing loxoprofen sodium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
Indications for Use:
- Osteoarthritis.
- Myalgia (muscle pain).
- Post-Traumatic Pain and Swelling.
Contraindications:
- Known hypersensitivity to loxoprofen or any components of the drug.
- Aspirin-Induced Asthma (bronchial asthma triggered by aspirin or other NSAIDs).
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only under strict medical supervision and when clearly indicated.
Side Effects:
- Local Reactions:
- Itching, redness, rash, contact dermatitis at the site of application.
- Rare Systemic Effects:
- Gastrointestinal disturbances or liver dysfunction, typical of NSAIDs, may occur but are uncommon.
Special Instructions:
- Patients with Bronchial Asthma: Use with caution due to the risk of exacerbation.
- Application Precautions: Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
- If significant skin reactions occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare provider.
