Liverurso

Liverurso is a medication containing ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), used for the treatment of liver and biliary tract diseases.

Indications for Use:

1. Biliary Dyskinesia.
2. Chronic Hepatitis of various etiologies.
3. Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC) in the absence of signs of decompensation.
4. Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC).
5. Cystic Fibrosis (mucoviscidosis) involving the liver and biliary tract.
6. Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH).
7. Alcoholic Liver Disease.
8. Cholestatic Liver Diseases.
9. Prevention and Treatment of Hepatotoxicity caused by hepatotoxic drugs.

Contraindications:

• Acute inflammatory diseases of the gallbladder or biliary tract.
• Decompensated Liver Cirrhosis.
• Severe dysfunction of the kidneys, pancreas, or liver.
• Known hypersensitivity to ursodeoxycholic acid or any excipients in the formulation.

Side Effects:

1. Gastrointestinal System:
   • Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain.
   • Calcification of gallstones.
2. Allergic Reactions:
   • Skin rash, pruritus (itching), urticaria (hives).
3. Other Rare Effects:
   • Exacerbation of psoriasis.
   • Alopecia (hair loss).

Special Instructions:

Therapy Monitoring:

• Regular liver function tests (e.g., ALT, AST, bilirubin) and gallbladder ultrasound every 6 months are recommended.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

• Use only under strict medical supervision and when clearly indicated.

Pediatric Use:

• Use in children is possible with careful dose adjustment based on body weight and condition.

Before initiating treatment with Liverurso, consult a healthcare provider to determine the appropriate dosage and treatment regimen. Self-medication is strongly discouraged and may lead to adverse outcomes.

Tablets for oral use. Usually available in packs of 180 tablets, designed for 30 days of use. The 90-tablet version is intended for a 15-day course.
