
Glanatec
Glanatec is an ophthalmic solution containing 0.4% tavuprost, a prostaglandin analogue used to reduce intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Indications for Use:
- Elevated intraocular pressure (ocular hypertension).
- Open-angle glaucoma.
Contraindications:
- Known hypersensitivity to tavuprost or any other components of the formulation.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Pediatric patients under 18 years of age.
Side Effects:
- Ocular: Conjunctival hyperemia, eye irritation, itching, and dryness.
- Cosmetic: Lengthening, thickening, and discoloration of eyelashes.
- Pigmentation Changes: Darkening of the iris.
Precautions:
Before starting treatment with Glanatec, consult an ophthalmologist to determine the appropriateness of use and to assess potential risks. Regular monitoring of intraocular pressure and ocular health is recommended during therapy.
