Dosage
- The recommended starting dose is 20 mg once daily.
- If serum uric acid concentration exceeds 6 mg/dL (357 µmol/L) after 2-4 weeks of treatment, the dose may be increased to 40 mg once daily.
Feburic is a medicinal product intended for the treatment of gout and reduction of uric acid levels in the blood.
Indications for use:
- Treatment of chronic hyperuricemia in adults with diseases accompanied by deposition of urate crystals (including the presence of tophuses and/or gouty arthritis at present or in the anamnesis).
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to febuxostat or to any of the excipients.
- Patients with rare hereditary diseases associated with galactose intolerance, congenital lactase deficiency or impaired glucose/galactose absorption.
- Patients receiving azathioprine and mercaptopurine.
- Pregnancy and lactation period.
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Side effects:
- Liver disorders.
- Nausea.
- Diarrhea.
- Headache.
- Skin engorgement.
