- Lepra: 50-100 mg of dapsone daily for a prolonged period of time is usually prescribed.
- Duhring's dermatitis herpetiformis: the initial dose is 100 mg per day, if necessary, the dose can be increased to 300 mg per day, then gradually reduced to a maintenance dose of 50 mg per day.

Dops OD is an orally dispersible tablet containing 100 mg dapsone. Dapsone is an antibacterial agent from the sulfone group used for the treatment of various infectious and dermatologic diseases.
Indications for use:
- Lepra (Hansen's disease).
- Duhring's dermatitis herpetiformis.
- Prevention and treatment of pneumocystis pneumonia in patients with immunodeficiency.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to dapsone or other sulfones.
- Severe liver and kidney disease.
- Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
Side effects:
- Headache, dizziness.
- Nausea, vomiting.
- Anemia, leukopenia.
- Allergic reactions.
