Acute attack of gout: the initial dose is 1 mg (2 tablets of 0.5 mg), then 0.5 mg every 1-2 hours until pain relief. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 mg. Repeated use according to this scheme is possible not earlier than after 3 days.
Prevention of acute attacks of gout: 0.5-1.5 mg daily or every other day for 3 months.
