Belsomra (Belsomra ) is a sleeping pill containing the active substance suvorexant. The drug blocks the action of orexins, neuropeptides in the brain that stimulate wakefulness, which helps facilitate falling asleep and maintaining sleep.

Form of release:

Belsomra is available in the form of film-coated tablets in the following dosages:

• 5 mg
• 10 mg
• 15 mg
• 20 mg

Dosage:

• Initial Dose: The recommended initial dose is 10 mg, which is taken 30 minutes before bedtime. After taking it, there should be at least 7 hours before the time of awakening.
• Maximum dose: If necessary, the dose can be increased to 20 mg per day, depending on tolerability and efficacy. The tablets are taken once daily and eating may delay the onset of action of the drug.
