
Dops OD
Dops OD is an orally dispersible tablet containing 200 mg of dapsone, an antibacterial agent from the sulfone group. It is indicated for the treatment of various infectious and dermatological conditions.
Indications for Use:
- Leprosy (Hansen's disease).
- Duhring's dermatitis herpetiformis.
- Prevention and treatment of pneumocystis pneumonia (Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia) in immunocompromised patients.
Contraindications:
- Known hypersensitivity to dapsone or other sulfone-class drugs.
- Severe hepatic or renal impairment.
- Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.
Side Effects:
- Neurological: Headache, dizziness.
- Gastrointestinal: Nausea, vomiting.
- Hematological: Anemia, leukopenia.
- Allergic Reactions: Rash, pruritus, or other hypersensitivity reactions.
